Toyota MR2 club Netherlands
Toyota MR2 Club Nederland is an association of and by its members.
Of course we have a dedicated board, but fortunately our association also has many enthusiastic members who are committed to the association in one or more areas.
This is not only in a “fixed task”. Our members also help spontaneously.
For example, during the setup or breakdown of a meeting.
But this also includes writing a piece for our MR2 Magazine or for our website.
Fortunately, we have no shortage of enthusiasm.
And the nice thing is that new members are infected with this enthusiasm.
Since 1991
Sunday morning, eight o'clock. The organizers (and later the founders of Toyota MR2 Club Nederland) personally greet the participants of this special MR2 day. There are more than 80 MR2's present.
The Toyota MR2 Club Netherlands was founded after a special MR2 day on September 15, 1991.
In collaboration with Toyota importer Louwman & Parqui the day is opened. First a drive to the Zandvoort circuit. When arriving at the circuit a slalom test was set out. After the slalom driving all AW11's and SW20's drove a few laps on the Zandvoort circuit.
Establishment of Toyota MR2 Club Netherlands
After the laps on the circuit, a ride to Van der Valk in Tiel followed. Here, a cold and warm buffet was waiting for the participants. During lunch, the possible establishment of an MR2 club was discussed.
After lunch the MR2's continued their way to end up in Raamsdonksveer at our Toyota importer. Here the museum and the dome were visited. When the participants were asked if they wanted to become a member of Toyota MR2 Club Nederland the (almost) unanimous "yes" was answered.
On January 29, 1992, Toyota MR2 Club Nederland was founded. In the meantime, Toyota MR2 Club Nederland has grown into a well-organized, active and above all sociable association with members from all over the world!
